Sky Dish & Digibox - How to get Regional BBC & ITV programmes through a Sky Dish?

Are you a Forest fan living in Haywards Heath, a Rangers fan in London, or a Man United fan living outside of the Granada area as many will be, then we can show you how to get all the local news on your team from its regional ITV provider through your Sky digibox.

There are NO BBC regions on the Digibox. You can only get the regional programme allowed by your postcode. The only exception is that at the end of the news, you can press the red button and select some but not all news regions other than your own. Whilst it is possible to find tuning for BBC1 Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, you will not be able to receive ANY programmes.

With regard to BBC2, BBC2 Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland these are already available on Sky Channels 960,961 and 962. Concerning sport, only live sport covered on BBC2 Wales and Northern Ireland is normally available. There is, we understand a long running dispute between the BBC and BBC Scotland with no end in site that prevents any live sport being shown solely in Scotland to be viewed outside of Scotland. Tune in to BBC2 Scotland to watch live sport and you’ll see the message "This programme is not allowed".

ITV is regionalised and now it is part of the Sky Digital package, you can enter the information in the "Add channels" menu screen: From Grampian in the north to Ulster and HTV Wales in the west, Anglia in the east and Channel Isles in the south, all channels are available by following the instructions below:-
Your postcode determines which ITV regional channel is programmed into your smart card and sometimes the choice is rather odd. For example, people in the southern part of Chester might get Welsh TV and people living in Crewe will get Midlands TV from Sutton Coldfield!

To get other ITV Regions via your Sky Digibox:-
Press services, press 4 System Setup, press 4 Add Channels.

The frequency is highlighted in yellow. Type 10906 using the remote.

Go down with the down arrow and highlight Polarisation. Choose V.

Do the same for Mbaud and choose 22.

Do the same for FEC and choose 5/6

Then highlight FIND CHANNELS and press select. When the channels are shown, tick (select) each one you want.

Press "backup". Choose "other channels" and a range of ITV Regions will be available for you to select (but not all of them) So.....

Do exactly the same using 10832 H 22 5/6

Do exactly the same using 10891 H 22 5/6

To get back to normal Sky programmes keep pressing back up.

You will not see these other channels on the normal "channels" menu so you have to keep accessing the ITV Regions using "Other Channels" (press Services then 6).

The listings show Frequency (eg 11.720) Polarity (eg H), Channel Name, decimal PID Video and Audio (eg 2304/2306)

They all have bouquet name of Sky Digital, Encryption Format of Videoguard, Symbol rate 27500 and FEC 2/3
