We believe that it is unjust that supporters who have committed no offence should be excluded from membership purely for travelling to another country. Nowhere in Englandfans rules does it say that advice from the FA must be obeyed. We reject the suggestion that anyone has "brought Englandfans into disrepute" merely by travelling. We are in discussion with government agencies about the legality and appropriateness of British police officers passing information about British citizens who have committed no offence to a private company for their own commercial purposes. We also believe that anyone threatened with exclusion should appeal against that decision, and we are offering to co-ordinate a group appealing, to avoid unnecessary duplication of efforts in preparing a case in defence. The Football Supporters’ Federation
is offering
assistance to those Englandfans members who have been suspended or expelled from
membership as a result of their travelling to Istanbul at the time of the Turkey - England
game in October. We have been approached by a number of fans seeking advice and help in
this matter.
